Members from Intercruises’ worldwide teams gather next week in Hamburg for Europe’s premier cruise and rivercruise trade event, Seatrade Europe. Held every two years (alternating with Seatrade Cruise Med), the conference attracts the “Who’s Who” of the cruise industry for a week of networking and discussion.
In accordance with Intercruises’ commitment to to sustainability, a new stand has been constructed for the event, using cardboard instead of conventional plastics. Some key features of the new stand:
- Five times less CO2 emissions compared to using plastic
- Is completely recyclable
- Can be recycled up to seven times
The InterQuiz will serve as the main theme for this year’s Seatrade Europe promotion. Artwork for the stand will feature a number of questions relating to Intercruises destinations worldwide. Special Seatrade Europe InterQuizzes have been developed and will be playable on iPads at the stand. These quizzes will be released on the The InterTimes in the coming weeks.
CLIA Port & Destinations Summit
Intercruises representatives will also attend the CLIA Port & Destination Summit, with Mark Robinson, Intercruises Managing Director/CEO speaking on a topic entitled Contingency Planning – Ground Handler & Port Agent Support. Taking place the day before Seatrade Europe, the Summit will provide a unique platform for Intercruises team members and more than 25 cruise line executives to network and share an open dialogue on crucial industry related topics.
