The France & Monaco team recently held their 5th annual workshop in Marseille, with over 30 attendees from the Nice, Marseille, Monaco, Le Havre and Barcelona offices discussing teamwork, communication, New Product Development (NPD), Health & Safety and operations best practices for the 2017 season.

In the evening the team enjoyed an escape room team building exercise, but the workshop began with a more  practical activity as the group visited the Intercruises Marseille office and Port of Marseille, with the cruise terminal opened especially for Intercruises by the Port Authority. The team then went on an Intercruises shore excursion to Notre Dame de la Garde. “Based on the team’s wishes, we wanted everyone to better understand the reality of an Intercruises office and its operations in order to share best practices and experiences.” Said Amaury de Williencourt, National Manager France & Monaco.

  • NPD: Deborah Vega, Product & Operations Manager Med, led a discussion on exclusive excursions targeting families, young cruisers and independent guests.
  • Health & Safety: Chus Martinez, Operations Manager Med, facilitated a group brainstorm on potential new procedures for guides and transportation companies
  • Port Agency & Logistics: Miki Biosca, Port Agency Operations Manager Med and Nohemi Alcaucer, Logistics Manager Med, provided expert insights in preparation for the season’s drydock and logistics operations
  • Global Platform: Duncan Coady, Commercial Analysis Manager, provided an update on the Intercruises Global Platform, a central team based in Barcelona that provides operations, processes, marketing, sustainability, Health & Safety and commercial support to all regions.

“Before the season starts it is always great to gather the team together and convey some key objectives for the year. This year the interactive group discussions helped everyone develop ideas to enhance their operations. I am fortunate to have a great team and we are all geared up to have a fantastic 2017 season.” Said Amaury.
