The event proved to be a huge success and definitely worthy of our attention; not only did it allow us to meet key clients face-to-face, it also delivered a platform for a much-needed discussion on cruise development in the region.” said Matteo Busilacchio, Operations & Product Supervisor Mediterranean, who participated in the first panel of the day “Porto and Portugal as Cruise Destination and in Worldwide Itineraries”

Matteo represented Intercruises at the event, meeting with clients to discuss opportunities in Portugal, including its potential as a source market and an alternative to more traditional, congested destinations.

The number of cruise passengers that have visited Portugal has increased by 15,3% between 2010-2016 and last year Portuguese ports welcomed 1,259,890 guests from 868 cruise ships.
