Earlier this month, the Intercruises global team descended upon the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for the cruise event of the season – Seatrade Cruise Global. Year on year, this colossal event continues to attract the who’s who of the cruise industry for a week of showcasing, networking and discussion….and this year certainly didn’t disappoint!

So what were our highlights this year?

Busy Intercruises Stand:
The Intercrusies stand was as always very busy, with a new and improved design helping to create a great environment for a 40+ strong Intercruises team to network and conduct business. Take a look at the photos below!

Guest Speakers:
Global Shore Excursions Manager, Carmen Morosan spoke on two different panels this year, including a discussion on “Striving to deliver authentic experiences”, and “Port & Tour Security,” in which she gave an update on SafeAshore, Intercruises’ award-winning in-house shore excursion safety system, which is now being rolled out across ports worldwide – read more here.

On International Women’s Day, Managing Director Olga Piqueras was one of five panelists to host the “Professional Women in Cruise” brunch – a light-hearted, interactive breakfast for females in the industry, in which they discussed various business topics while exploring and sharing their own experiences from their careers.

Intercruises proudly sponsored the CLIA Diamond Partner Reception & Dinner. CLIA is the world’s largest cruise industry trade association, whose events attract some of the most senior executives in the business. This year, Intercruises’ Olga Piqueras attended alongside Jordi Cerdó, Ramon Hurtado and Celeste Gladstone.

Additionally, Intercruises also provided the Seatrade Cruise Global tote bag (as part of the event’s official welcome pack) and supported the official party for Porthole Magazine. Click here to view the magazine’s official video from the event!

Seatrade Cruise Global” is one of our annual highlights, and this year has been no different. It’s fantastic to see the event still growing, not just in size and attendees, but in creativity and innovation. It’s a very exciting time for the cruise industry right now, and this event does such a fantastic job in celebrating everything we have to be excited about!” – Olga Piqueras, Managing Director
