Spain Workshop – Bowling, African Drums & More!
The Intercruises Spain team held a three day workshop in Barcelona at the Hotel Crowne Plaza to outline current objectives for the year and provide an update on Intercruises projects taking place at a Head Office level.
In attendance were members from Intercruises’ Spain and Head Office teams.
A number of team building exercises took place throughout the workshop; including learning how to use Yembes African drums to communicate messages to each other and and a general knowledge quiz on Intercruises and the cruise industry.
In the evening, the team gathered for dinner and a few games of bowling. See a collection of photos from the workshop below:
Intercruises successfully passes ISO 9001:2008 & 14001:2004 Audit
Intercruises Head Office in Barcelona successfully passed its audit (conducted by independent auditor, Lloyd’s Register) to maintain its ISO 9001 (Quality Management) & 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) certificates (for the third year in a row).These audits are designed to ensure Intercruises continually improves its business procedures, environmental practices and maintains its status as a forward thinking industry leader. Each of Intercruises’ Head Office departments were reviewed during this audit, including Health & Safety, Worldwide Operations Support, Human Resources, Marketing & Communications, IT, Strategy, Finance, Credit Control and Projects Management.
ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System
The ISO 9001:2008 standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation& implication of top management, process approach and continual improvement.
ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System
The ISO 14000:2004 standard addresses various aspects of environmental management. It provides practical tools for companies and organizations looking to identify and control their environmental impact and constantly improve their environmental performance.
Event Review: Seatrade Winter Cruising Forum 2015
Members from the Intercruises Head Office and Med team attended the third Seatrade Winter Cruising Forum in Cartagena (Spain), which discussed strategies to obtain additional deployment of cruise vessels to the region. Mark Robinson, Managing Director of Intercruises, was speaking on the morning conference entitled “Cruising in Winter – an update”. Download Mark’s presentation here.
